Fireworks – Visions of Light

I do not photograph fireworks to tell the story of the event, the Cannes Pyrotechnic Festival, but to capture what happens inside the light.
From shots taken from a distance, with a telephoto lens, abstract visions emerge: fragments of sky, explosions of colors, streaks that become painting.
In post-production, I work on the details, on the enlargements, on those forms that the human eye cannot perceive but that photography reveals.
The result is no longer a memory of a summer night, but an autonomous work of art, where fire becomes matter, movement becomes gesture and light becomes subject.
